Who’s behind Blue Green Labs? Nathan Wilson

My name is Nathan Wilson. I am a Ph.D. candidate at Lakehead University, studying cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) and water quality in the Northwestern Ontario region.

Blue Green Labs aims to help citizens in Northwestern Ontario participate in a citizen science monitoring project so they can better understand and manage their lakes. Because of the unpredictable nature of algal blooms, local support for citizen science monitoring is needed to gain a better understanding of lake health conditions and the ‘trophic state’ of inland lakes in the area.
